Whether you work in memoir, essay, or fiction, this two hour generative workshop will use a meditative listing and inquiry process to not just generate writing but to engage our ancestor characters and write them honestly, deeply, and fully.

We at the Republic of Letters strongly believe that art should be accessible to everyone, including introverts. That is why our courses are all online. For many, especially those with disabilities, the immunocompromised or chronically ill, and parents of small children, committing to a class that meets regularly outside of the home can pose a tremendous barrier. So we are proud to offer what we can online.

We also firmly believe in the power and joy of community, and look forward to someday holding classes inside a brick and mortar venue once again. But they will never supplant our online options.

You’ll see a price tier on all of our offerings. We have what we’re charging, and also the option to pay what the course is worth. If you have the funds, consider that option a donation, split between the organization and the instructor.

Members enjoy a 20% discount on all classes, workshops, and presentations. (Psst: some of the courses, the discount would nearly pay for the entire membership.)
